Mobile phones should be charged only about 50 per cent in order to prolong their battery life, a tech expert has claimed. According to technology expert says overcharging, or having a full battery, and going from down to zero does gradual damage to phone batteries.

Keeping a phone too hot by constant charging can cause it to lose power every year. Expert says leaving phones connected to a charger after they are fully charged can do damage to batteries, as can high temperatures. According to Limer, the best temperature for phone batteries is about 15 degrees Celsius, and batteries kept at an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius lose about 20 per cent of their power every year.
