Apple signs deal with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) for to produce some A-series chips for Apple’s iOS devices starting in 2014, but Apple will continue with Samsung as the primary supplier for its mobile processors until 2014. The report says Apple has already stopped buying iPhone screens from Samsung and also for the iPad.

The TSMC chips will utilize a 20nm process, which shrinks the chip size and will have a better power consumption. TSMC would be supplying Apple with the future “A8″ chips for iDevices.
