The latest Wi-Fi technology 802.11ac, offers speed up to 1.3 Gigabits per second. That’s fast enough to transfer an entire high-definition movie to a tablet in 4 minutes and also share photo albums with friends in seconds or it is capable of streaming three HD videos at the same time. It’s speed is double that of previous standard 802.11n.
This 802.11ac requires device to support for two bands of airwaves, which will help to reduce interference. It requires less power consumption from smart phones, tablets and PCs when they’re transmitting data.A recent ABI Research forecast says that 40% of smart phones will support the newer version of Wi-Fi .
